PrepTrack is an alpha-stage educational support platform for study, practice, readiness tracking, and school reporting.
This Privacy Policy is written for U.S. privacy fundamentals. If you use PrepTrack through a school, training program, or institutional license, any applicable school agreement or institutional notice may supplement this Privacy Policy.

School and Student Data
If you use PrepTrack through a school or program, we may process information on behalf of that school and may disclose progress, readiness, activity, and usage information to school-authorized personnel for educational, advising, administrative, and service-support purposes.
Where student data is provided by, maintained for, or linked to a school, our handling of that information may also be governed by FERPA, school policy, and the applicable school agreement. In those cases, school-provided instructions and restrictions may control over this Privacy Policy to the extent required by law or contract.
Children and Minors
PrepTrack is not intended for unsupervised self-service use by children under 13. If we know that we are collecting personal information from a child under 13 outside a school-authorized context, we will require verifiable parental consent or another legally sufficient basis before collecting, using, or disclosing that information, as required by applicable law.
If a minor uses PrepTrack through a school, guardian-directed program, or other supervised setting, the parent, guardian, school, or program sponsor is responsible for providing any consent or authorization required by applicable law.
How We Share Information
- With your school, instructors, advisors, administrators, or other authorized institutional personnel when reasonably necessary to support your educational use of the platform.
- With vendors, contractors, and service providers that host, secure, support, maintain, or analyze the platform, subject to confidentiality and appropriate data-protection obligations.
- With legal authorities, regulators, auditors, insurers, or professional advisors when required by law, necessary to protect rights or safety, or reasonably necessary to enforce our agreements.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and applicable law.
Cookies, Analytics, and De-Identified Data
PrepTrack may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand platform usage. You may be able to adjust certain browser settings, but some features may not function correctly if those technologies are disabled.
We may create de-identified, aggregated, or anonymized information that does not reasonably identify you and may use that information for analytics, benchmarking, service improvement, research, and other lawful business purposes.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
- We do not knowingly use student data for third-party targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not represent that readiness scores, school dashboards, or learner metrics are official academic records, transcripts, or licensure outcomes.
Security, Retention, and Deletion
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission, processing, or storage can guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a security incident that results in unauthorized access to or disclosure of personal information, we will notify affected individuals and, where applicable, schools and regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable breach notification laws. Notification will include the nature of the incident, the types of information involved, and the steps we are taking to address it.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, support school reporting, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we will delete it, anonymize it, or de-identify it within a commercially reasonable period, subject to applicable law and any controlling school agreement.
U.S. Privacy Rights and Requests
Depending on where you live and how PrepTrack is offered, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to appeal a denial where required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information as defined by applicable U.S. privacy laws. We will process rights requests in accordance with applicable law and any school agreement that governs the account.
Where a school controls the relevant student data, we may direct you to that school or require the request to be handled through school-authorized channels.
